What is the Wedding Photojournalism?
Photojournalism is a genre of photography that retract the facts without interfering in the scene, in the most objective way possible. Of wedding photojournalism, or as it is often defining documentary wedding photography, is the art of telling a story, the story of your wedding day through images, without sunsets in scenes or enforced poses.
“The Real Moments may not be forced … Real Memories are the only thing that count”
Wedding photojournalism is not an easy task, requires much concentration, anticipating the moments until they occur and be aware of everything that happens to you around. I give much importance to the small gestures, looks and everything you transmit me feeling and emotion to catch him with my camera so that the bride and groom can relive these special moments with the passing of the years. In the end it is the little details that make the difference. Each image must have a context and tell a story to the Viewer, and on this basis attempt to develop my work as documentary wedding photographer. The following image has been shot at a recent wedding, at the exit of the Church of Santiago Apóstol, in the Centre of Malaga. All the guests were waiting impatiently the departure of the bride and groom. His companions had prepared a special surprise, the Hall of honor typical of those belonging to the body of the State. The expectation was very great, but the bride and groom did not come out, bride was making a last-minute arrangement to his suit.
At the forefront, eager were the damsel of honour, by firmly pressing the rice in the hand and with an air of excitement and a bit of boredom that gives a touch of humor to take.
My philosophy is very simple; follow my instincts, observe and let me lead my heart to document your wedding day. Wedding photojournalism is capturing the moment and the passion of that day. I’m looking for these moments and I strive to capture the emotions and the energy of the day through my photography.
My most creative way of working is to wander around the wedding to capture these photographs of the bride and groom and their guests, to portray moments that will never return and which even have not even noticed that were happening during the same wedding. Is that weddings have a lot formal photography, the goodies on the table, group photos, the photo with the family, are mandatory pictures that I understand that the bride and groom want to have and that I do still try to clear my creativity and above all enjoy what I do.
One of the favorite of the wedding day, are the preparations before the ceremony, the tension of the bride and groom, so much emotion in so little time, the effort of a long way of preparation and so few moments before the fateful if I want to. This photo has been taken at the Kempinski Hotel in Marbella, on a terrace fitted out as a beauty salon with view to the sea. Fantastic is the relaxed expression of the bride, to overcome early nerves, was savoring every moment of your special day.
Children are a recurring theme in weddings. Their expressions and emotions are uninhibited and always have a carefree innocence that give us often large photographs. The next photo was taken at the end of this summer, in the IPV Palace Hotel, Fuengirola. During the cocktail I realized this little sitting in one of the armchairs, the hotel, completely disconnected from what was happening her around Central magnificent, eating their chocolate biscuit in tranquility. I approach from behind and fired three shots; I went completely unnoticed in the first two, did not notice of me, in the latter he looked and gave me this smile, before proceeding with their tasks.
This picture was taken during my last wedding, the bride and groom were walking around tables taking care of guests, I decided to get away from the scene and look for a hidden place, walked into the kitchen of the restaurant and from there I waited for something to happen. Suddenly the bride and groom took is hand and returned together to your table. I loved that scene, a few simple details full of meaning, a romantic image of the couple surrounded by the most important people in his life that starts a new path alone, the two together hand coding was the future.
As documentary wedding photographer, my goal is to make your photos full of meanings, a remembrance for future generations. Each photograph wedding passes through a phase of selection and processing post. I personally edit each of the photos selected to bring you only the best photographs of your special day. All this is part of my service.
I work with digital equipment, but my passion was the analog film has led me to develop a technique of processing allowing my photographs resemble film photos. I think the photographs in black and white, shot in black and white, and the processing of my reports with this technique. Colour distracts attention to what really matters, the scene and the time that you want to portray. I use natural light and I like the texture of the grain in my pictures. The image I use three different plans to tell the same story. The time of the League is often one of the more fun and humor of a wedding.
The photograph of the details is also part of my services, wedding photojournalism is tell the whole story of your wedding and the details are part of it. I like play with my creativity to achieve different and original images. I often use a team of portable lighting to illuminate the scene and accessories to give a touch different to my images and artistic.
My goal as a wedding photographer is to create realistic images that not only tell the story of your day, that are also a tangible reminder of the emotions, feelings and the details of one day more special for you. My approach and style, is totally discreet, I try to not interfere in the scene and let everything flow naturally and enjoy your day.
